An Open Letter to all current and potentially new
Notts DA. CCY members.

 Hi to you all.

 We would like to introduce ourselves to all of the current and hopefully new members of the CCY. I am
 Adrian Williams and my wife is Jane she is very much my right hand woman. We have 8 children, Ryan
 19, Aeron 17, Rebekah 14, Shannon 10, Ronan 8, Kian 6, Kenzie 2, Saffron 7mnths and from time to time
 you may see my Mother in Law out with us, her name is Audrey.

 Well now that I’ve introduced you to my family, I would really like to ask you all to come along and
 meet us when we are out at the weekends. You should have no trouble finding us as we have 6 dogs as
 well (all very friendly). Please bring along your mum and dad to meet us as well, they will be very
 welcome, we could even arrange for a cuppa. We really do want you to tell us just how you would like
 your CCY area to look and how you would like your weekends to be run. We are new to this
 responsibility but rest assured we will take on the challenge of building up a successful CCY. What is
 it that you like to do when out camping? Do you like games, walks or just to relax and enjoy a restful
 weekend?

 It is up to you. We will respond to your ideas so you do need to come along and talk to us about it.
 How many of you are looking to take your CCY test? We want to help and train you to get successfully
 through the experience. We can book the testers for you during the weekends of your choice.

 So! Please do come along and meet us. We don’t bite and we are very child friendly, you and your family
 are welcome to come over and meet us at anytime.

       Would you like to join the Camping Club Youth?

 Notts DA once had a thriving Youth Section which for various reasons gradually disappeared. We are
 now in the wonderful position of having a new enthusiastic Youth Leader who is very interested and
 looking forward to building up the CCY once more.

 If you are between the ages of 12 and 17 and would like to make new friends and have the opportunity
 to travel into Europe with them, then why not join the Camping Club Youth (CCY).

 Once a member you have the opportunity of demonstrating to everyone that you have learned the
 basic skills of camping and taking care of yourself by taking the Youth Test.

 The test will teach you how to select a pitch, pitch your tent, cook your own food and also give you a
 basic insight of first aid and map reading.

 If your parents are already Notts DA members then all you have to do is to see your Youth Leader
 for a membership form.

 If you have friends who would like to join but their parents are not members all they have to do is to
 get a current club member to sponsor them.

 Once a year our CCY hold a fund raising weekend, known as Parents Weekend, where the CCY members
 do all sorts of things to raise money for their fund.

 This fund allows them to take part in organised activities and attend the various Youth Rallies
