9th - 13th July
Thoresby Hall and Park

Following the fantastic success of last year Notts DA have decided to once again open Thoresby Hall and Park as a 5 day meet.
So why not join us for a relaxing time with plenty of places to visit during the day. Thoresby Hall is a recognised stately home in the heart of the Dukeries which was originally built during the reign of King Charles 1st of England. You may like to visit the local famous Thoresby market on the Sunday for your Summer bargains or Ollerton for a varied shopping experience. You are not too far away from the delights of real Robin Hood country and the Sherwood Forest visitor centre.

18th - 20th July
Purdy House Farm Shipley

Situated between the delights of Heanor and Ilkeston, this site has lots to offer everyone. It is just opposite the excellent walking and cycling area of Shipley Country Park.
There are also some wonderful walks along the Erewash canal or if you prefer there's  some good shopping in all directions including Ikea and Armstrong Mills retail outlet. A large Garden Centre is within walking distance and it boasts an excellent restaurant which is particularly popular for your Sunday Lunch. As an added bonus, your stewards are planning a few things to ensure you enjoy your stay including a quiz, Tombola and weather permitting a coffee morning on the Sunday

Camping & Caravanning Club Members take note:-
World Record Attempt is on again!!!

Every Camping & Caravanning Club member that attended the Notts DA Goose Fair meet in 2007 will be well aware that we all became World Record holders with a fantastic  total of 606 Robin Hoods at the meet.
However!! - You may now be aware that this record has been broken at the Nottingham Castle by the public of the City of Nottingham with a total of 1119 Robin Hoods. Well, we are not going to rest on our Bows - Notts DA have decided that on behalf of all Camping and Caravanning Club members, you are all once again welcome to join us in the name of the Camping and Caravanning Club as we break the record once more at this years Goose Fair meet. Can we do it? - Yes we can, with your determination and spirit we can do the Club proud once more. Did you join us at last years event? If you did then we ask you to bring along at least one friend that didn't. Were you watching us around the arena last year? If you were then come on - get involved and join us this year. Become an official World Record holder with all of your friends in the Club. Please keep watching the website as we get nearer to our challenge, as we will update everyone with fuller details of all that will be happening.
As for right now - well all that you have to do is think about kitting yourselves out with a Robin Hood outfit and you're almost there. Take a look at the photo's page for some inspiration if you need it. In the name and spirit of our great Club we ask you to take on the challenge with us. If you haven't got a Robin Hood hat then check out this link. Just copy and paste it into your browser.
